[Video] Kanye West // “Video Painting”

Get ready ladies and gentlemen, Kanye West is changing up the game once again. Tonight, following MTV’s Jersey Shore, Mr. West will be premiering his video for his newest single “Power”. In order to get an idea for the concept and art behind the video, check out the YouTube clip above.

It looks straight up amazing and I know you’ll all enjoy it.

[The Drop] Sam Adams // “Still I Rise (Feat. G. Curtis)”

Earlier this year I got a hold of the “Boston Boy” EP and immediately became a fan of Sammy Adams. All of his songs give off that poppy hip-hop feel that has been reoccurring so frequently among new artists in the rap scene. This track is a bit chiller than the rest of his songs but the chorus is an absolute killer…beyond catchy if you catch my drift. Is Sam Adams the next big artist we will see this year or is he just another white rapper thrown in the mix? Only time will tell, either way enjoy the track.

[The Drop] Chris Webby // “I Need A Dollar (Feat. Mac Miller)”

A few weeks back I posted a sick remix of the Aloe Blacc single “I Need A Dollar” here. This time an up and coming rapper who goes by the name Chris Webby sampled the chorus for his new single which is also entitled “I Need A Dollar.” Hailing from the suburbs of Connecticut, and currently attending Hofstra University on Long Island, Chris Webby has been blowing up in the blog world. Some may think that this recent plethora of white rappers is becoming overplayed, but this kid has some sick flow, check it out and enjoy.

[The Drop] Naledge // “You Oughta Know”

Naledge a.k.a Mr. Brain just might be the smartest man in the rap game. No seriously, he received a degree in communications from UPenn, you know the Ivy League school. Soon after graduation he began his hip hop career with the group Kidz in the Hall, but has gone solo since 2008. This track is from last summer but somehow flew under my radar for far too long. Using samples from the Billy Joel hit “Moving Out” Naledge immediately grabs my attention, teaching me that Naledge is power.

[The Drop] Z-Trip // “Breakfast Club (Feat. MURS and Supernatural)”

Do you love eating cereal? Do you love watching cartoons? If you have answered yes to both, then this song will soon become your morning anthem. The perfect blend of humor and hip hop, this track is impossible to hate on. If you’re a hater you’re taking this shit too seriously, it’s hip hop it’s supposed to be fun!
